A well-known established manufacturing and distribution company supplying savoury applications into the food manufacturing industry requires the above to manage large well known key accounts and work closely with the R&D team with regards to new product development and technical applications, driving new and existing projects within the savoury / meat processing industry. Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in food sciences or related is essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked in an NPD or innovation / applications role wherein you are dealing with key account customers handling new development of savoury applications on existing or new projects to enhance the customers product range is preferred for the role.
- Previous experience working within the meat processing industry is preferred.
- Must have good English communication skills both verbal and written.
- Managing large well known key accounts and work closely with the R&D team with regards to new product development and technical applications, driving new and existing projects within the savoury / meat processing industry.
- Managing the company's large key accounts to ensure that they receive the correct savoury ingredients to enhance their product range.
- Expanding companys product offering by developing new, innovative and cost-effective products.
- Researching new technology and industry trends.
- Liaising and working with customers to determine their requirements and developing tailored products as per their request.
- Initiating technical solutions to product issues and troubleshooting at customer sites by conducting factory trials.
- Formulating ideas and strategies to improve on problem areas with regards to certain savour ingredient products.
- Meeting with new potential customers to help assess the correct products for the portfolio.
- Assisting growing customers with new requirements in order to enhance their business.
- Assisting customers with adjusting process steps and parameters or formulating adjustments to obtain new or improved lines to better suite their business or their market.
