ROLE SUMMARY:
To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide First Aid to staff and learners.
- Dispense medication to children as requested by parents.
- Monitor immunization records of learners.
- Implementation of health and safety protocols.
- Transporting and accompanying sick /injured children to medical facilities.
- Record keeping
- Submission of medical insurance claims and organizing payments to doctors and hospitals.
- Drug testing, if required.
- Provide counselling to learners and staff regarding medical issues.
- Management and ordering of stock including invoicing.
- Work hand in hand with Boarding Team.
- Required to reside on campus in designated accommodation provided.
- Be responsible for night shift and on call during weekends when pupils are on campus.
- The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.

- SANC registered nurse.
- Previous experience as a school nurse would be advantageous.
- Computer literate.
- Valid Basic Life Support and First Aid Level 3.
- Knowledge of medical accounting and administration.
- Drivers license.
- Own vehicle.
- Must be in possession of dispensing license, or be in the process of getting one.
- Availability to work on weekends and be on call when required.
