We are looking for a Nutritionist to join BD Group who will be dedicated to support special dietary needs, deliver nutrition education, and ensure compliance with School Food Standards. The nutritionist will be a crucial member of our senior food team, driving evidence-based decisions to align nutrition with our catering strategy. Duties
The Nutritionist will play vital role in supporting the business's special dietary needs, conducting on-site training and audits on allergen management, and delivering nutrition lessons to students while ensuring compliance with School Food Standards. The responsibilities extend to developing and delivering nutrition education sessions for students aged 4 and above, including virtual and pre-recorded sessions. Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Service & Head of Food, overseeing the nutritional needs across the group's schools, dedicating a minimum of 2-3 days per week during term-time to engage with students and school staff. During school holidays, the focus will shift to project-based work and planning. As a key member of the senior food team, the role will be providing evidence-based information to guide business decisions on nutrition, aligning with the company's catering strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered (RNutr) or Associate Registered (ANutr) Nutritionist, or Registered Dietitian.
- English and Maths qualification.
- Full clean UK driving Licence.
- It is essential that you have a natural passion for nutritional wellbeing and experience at a similar level within the Foodservice sector.
- Working in a fast-paced, creative environment, you will need to have sound science-based knowledge and have the ability to interpret, present and communicate this within the education setting.
- A natural love for food innovation, cooking, and wellbeing.
- A confident and articulate way of communicating with a flair for building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Working pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Typically core hours will range from 7am till 3.30pm).
- Number of working weeks: 52 weeks (Annual leave to be taken during school half term).
- Location: Our Head Office is based in Dagenham East this role will require regular attendance at our head office and multiple sites we operate in (London/Essex).
