INSURANCE CLERK

OBARO brokers are part of the OBARO group and the successful candidate will be reporting to the Insurance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Leads system management (processing of leads and allocating leads to brokers);
- Reporting on leads and quotes done per broker;
- General administrative tasks when required (Commission, Compliance, and Crop Insurance monitoring);
- Completing new business quotes and following up on outstanding documentation;
- Complete personal lines quotes in line with broker instruction
- Claims processing in line with insurer requirements and providing feedback to broker/underwriter;
- Answering incoming phone calls and addressing inquiries; and
- Provide guidance and assistance to other team members as needed.
- Participate in training programs to keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and relevant software tools.
Skills, qualifications, and general requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification;
- Previous "Cold calling" experience will be advantageous;
- Experience in a broker environment will be advantageous;
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in Afrikaans and English;
- Computer literate and knowledge of MS Office package essential;
- Excellent social and interpersonal skills;
- Must be able to function under high pressure and in a team environment; and
- Ability to quickly adapt to change;
