The purpose of the Health & Safety Specialist role is to support the Health & Safety team and other business stakeholders to achieve Health & Safety compliance by ensuring an effective response to Health & Safety related matters and undertaking frequent Health & Safety compliance reviews with the business and monitoring related activities including the approach and adherence to policies and procedures within the Group. Business stakeholders will look to this role for proactive, collaborative guidance during Health & Safety compliance analysis, planning and implementation, aimed at addressing and reducing our Health & Safety incidents and compliance gaps and risks including but not limited to Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments (HIRAs) and Dept of Labour inspections and requirements. This role also participates in Occupational Health and Safety project management and renders general Health & Safety support to the Health & Safety team in executing tasks that align with the Health & Safety team mandate.
