Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Diploma/Certificate in Sales/Marketing or a similar relevant industry qualification and experience.
- At least 4 years relevant experience as an Internal Sales Clerk/Receptionist/Office Administrator.
- Previous experience with Trade customers, architects, interior designers, and contractors will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Syspro experience would be advantageous.
Reception operation
- Full reception duties Politely and efficiently answering of Switchboard, serving, and attending to customers.
- Ensure that the showroom and displays are cleaned daily.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships through ongoing communication and liaison.
- Respond to and follow up on all sales enquiries by telephone and email.
- Submit detailed quotes for the Sales Consultants in support of generating new and existing business.
- Ensure that all leads and leads received telephonically are captured onto the system.
- Ensure that for every lead received, that an appointment is scheduled with the customer for a quotation by a Sales Consultant/Sales Manager.
- Once the Sales Consultant obtains an order, create the order/invoice.
- Maintain a Data base of Contacts and ensure this is uploaded to the Sales Pipeline on a Monthly basis.
- Filing of customer invoices and signed delivery notes.
- Any other administrative duties as assigned by the Sales Manager and General Manager (as and when required).
- The organizing and attendance of Quarterly/Monthly Stock-Take.
- Monitoring and reporting on monthly progress of actual sales per channel, to budget and forecast for the branch;
- Making appropriate and innovative recommendations to drive the business growth and sustainability.
- Responsible for the creation of credit notes to customers, for approval by the Sales Manager.
- Manage the implementation of price increases during the year with customers, following instructions from the Sales Manager.
- Ensure that quotations are provided timeously to customers, which are accurate, timelines can be met for production and installation, and which adhere to the company quotation policies and procedures.
- Customer displays and showrooms.
- Take instruction from the Sales Manager regarding the design for displays and showrooms.
- Brief instructions to the Store man/Driver with specific timelines etc.
- Co-ordinate, implement, and assist the Store man with monthly/bi-annual stock-take counts.
- With assistance from the Store man and Sales personnel, carry out regular cycle counts and ensure systems are updated timeously.
- Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures for the branch are fully complied with.
- Ensure the safeguard of all the assets in the branch.
- Ensure the IT infrastructure in the branch complies with the Group IT mandate.
