Office Manager

What you'll be doing

You will be predominantly assisting the MD by taking over a variety of tasks for him to assist in making his life easier. As well as assisting the Account Managers should that be required. This is a small company where you'll have a variety of different tasks you'll take on. From PA type duties like arranging travel, the MD's diary, personal errands, sourcing corporate gifts and so on.

The duties are mainly office administration related and are broad from HR related matters like assisting with BEE Certificate and COIDA. Other admin type matters like ensuring licences are updated, billing, rentals, issuing statements to debtors, handling support emails. You'll also arrange any staff socials and ensure the office is run smoothly.

Where you'll be doing it

The company has 14 employees, their office is in Woodmead. At first you'll be fully office based but the idea is to move to hybrid working with 2 days in office. The team is young, dynamic and passionate about what they do. The CEO encourages a fun working environment with an office that hosts a pool table and bar. The team end work earlier on a Friday, the music comes on and they are known to play a game of pool and enjoy a beer together. The general working hours are flexible but core business hours are 8am to 5pm. There are also team building events such as going to a comedy night or out for a meal together.

They're looking for a fun team player that is passionate about what they do and will bring a positive energy to the team. Some of the important things they value are passion, integrity, innovation, fun, accountability, being tech savvy, efficient and positive.

What you'll need

A matric qualification plus a minimum of 5 years office admin / management experience. You need to be proficient in MS Office, you will work a lot on Excel (basic formatting will be tested in your interview process). You'll need to have your own car and driver's license. We're looking for a confident person that can take initiative and be self-managed.

The MD is a dynamic, confident guy that is exceptionally passionate about his business and amazing customer service. You'll need to be confident and mature in nature.

Someone that's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. That has the attitude that "no job is too big or small". That learns quickly, can multi task well, is calm under pressure and is flexible. Your passion, dedication and conscientiousness is what we're looking for and will help you succeed in this role. We're wanting a team player that's a natural problem solver that would love to be part of the team.
