Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• At least three years experience in the above fields of disciplines
• Experience in additive manufacturing and Internet of Things application

Additional Requirements

• Experience of working in a laboratory related environment preferably within a university

Summary Of Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Work in the university Luban Workshop located in the Faculty
• Experience in Software Development using Java, C/C++, Python, Matlab, Process Maker
• Experience in emerging technologies for fourth industrial revolution (4IR)
• Ensure security of equipment in laboratories
• Ensure basic maintenance of electronic equipment
• Assist students in tutoring
• Operate high-speed and large-format printers, including 3D printers
• Booking of computer facilities
• Provide practical training to students
• Maintain laboratory usage, devices and equipment
• Engage in administration duties and identify equipment that need to be sent for repairs
• Obtain quotations and liaise with the finance and procurement departments
• Oversee practice-based learning in joint assignments across the faculty
• Undertake duties as assigned by the Executive Dean in charge of laboratory.

Salary Scale: Market related plus benefits
