We are currently looking for an onsite IT support technician in Milnerton, West Coast.
Job responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operational requirements of the IT department.
- Delivering IT support to end-users ensuring that all support incidents are resolved satisfactorily and with minimal impact on business operations or guest satisfaction.
- Conceptualise, implement and manage IT projects from start to finish.
- Liaise directly with Business Owner, keeping them abreast of all IT related developments and issues.
- Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all IT systems, networking infrastructure, Camera infrastructure and Printers.
- Be responsible for the monitoring of local and offsite backups.
- Be responsible for the AV Server and installing of AV software.
- Be a hands-on operator ensuring that all support incidents are resolved speedily, while identifying opportunities to train staff.
- Be able to identify minimum standards, generate and enforce policies and procedures for end users as well as the IT function.
- Be able to develop and implement IT continuity, backup and disaster recovery plans for all key systems as well as ensure continuous review and testing.
- Maintain documentation and reference materials of all IT related systems, ensuring that documents remain current and easily accessible.
- Supporting Business owner and Directors with IT at their households.
Job requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- IT Diplomas.
- Strong Windows servers skills.
- Linux skills.
- Working knowledge of Office 365.
- Networking and Wi-Fi experience is essential, ideally having used Mikrotik and Ubiquiti equipment.
- Working knowledge of PBX technologies.
- Previous exposure to virtualization technologies, ideally having used Hyper-V.
- Working knowledge of Analogue and IP based Camera Systems.
