Core Description
Responsible for conducting security operations and investigations of crime/ irregularities or any contravention of a criminal nature and implementing operational plans to prevent or minimise losses, affecting Telkom Group.
Job Responsibilities

Conducting security operations and investigations of crime/ irregularities
SUB-OUTPUTS
- Responsible to gather intelligence and conduct investigations at regional level.
- Attend to reported incidents / crime scenes to ensure that effective investigative procedures are followed.
- Identify crime hotspots and deploy resources to conduct preventative operations in affected areas.
- Conduct inspections to ensure contract and specific instruction compliance.
- Responsible for planning and execution of the regional operations.
- Conducting and working closely with law enforcement agencies including the Police, security companies, Service providers etc
- Attend regional internal and external security meetings with law enforcements agencies and other entities / committees.
- Manage cases and dockets in their regions
- Directing the operational functional activities, processes, and systems to achieve the desired objectives and goals
- Identify and direct continuous improvement of operational activities, tactical plans, processes, systems, and performance within responsibility area.
- Drive cost efficiencies, reduction in losses while contributing towards revenue generations
- Gathering and maintaining crime information by identifying and managing sources of information
- Organize and coordinate informer networks
- Conducting risk assessment, analyze crime trends, recommend, and implement prevention measures
- Interrogating and analyzing crime incidents statistics, crime trends, crime scenes using best available analysis techniques, tools, systems, and
- Ensuring that effective crime management is done to protect crime scenes from destruction of evidence or tampering
- Collection of evidence and ensuring that the evidence is preserved with documented chain of custody for such evidence to be admissible in court.
- Following up on criminal cases where arrests are made to ensure successful prosecution and convictions of suspects
- Liaising and guiding line management with regards to the securing of company assets
- Advising and recommendation on the acquisition of systems, technology and tools required to predict, prevent, and deter crime.
- Capture and register incidents on investigations on online system
- Compile monthly reports related to all incidents, breaches, and threats.
- Obtaining required information from key role players and analyzing client#s expectations and needs
- Conducting and participate in awareness campaigns and the education of various stakeholders

- PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Association)
