About the team:
The Client Operations Team is a client servicing team based in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, USA, Germany and United Kingdom. The team works closely with the strategic client relationship team in the client servicing of a designated set of clients, invested via an Investment Management Agreement or equivalent. This is dependent on the complexity and demands of each client, to ensure that pro-active high-quality service is delivered.
In this role you will:
- Liaise professionally with clients (new clients, restructures, performance, off-market trade queries, etc.)
- Be effective at query management and resolution
- Liaise with investment operations, Client Managers, PMs, performance & attribution, dealing, implementations, finance, fund operations
- Perform ongoing KYC of clients
- Effective liaison with back office administrators
- Provide information/support to Client Managers
- Update of CRM system
- Identify inefficiencies in processes
- Contribute to ad hoc projects aimed at streamlining processes
- B Comm / B Bus Sci or other similar degree
- 2-3 years investment management industry experience, preferably in a role with exposure to asset management or financial services clients
- Client relationship management experience in the investment management industry
- Financial market knowledge (instruments and products)
- Financial accounting experience
- Advanced MS Excel
