Your Role at impact.com:

As an Operations Engineering Intern, you will support our operational teams to drive excellence through innovation and collaboration. You will contribute to delivering impactful solutions for internal teams, stakeholders, and impact.com customers. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow, focusing on optimizing processes, providing data-driven insights, and ensuring seamless interactions within the impact.com ecosystem.

This paid internship is for a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks during the June / July vacation period with the potential option to extend at the end of the period. Please note that this is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be required to be in office a minimum of two days a week.

What You'll Do:
  • Analyze data and provide insights to enhance the finance department.
  • Use data to predict solutions most useful for stakeholders.
  • Gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends.
  • Monitor and report on metrics and KPIs.
  • Learn the Impact Reporting Tools and Databases.
  • Build dashboards and reports in Domo, Looker, and Salesforce.
  • Measure the effectiveness of current finance process flows.
  • Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports.
  • Perform ad hoc benchmarking and gap analysis research for stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and areas for improvement within the platform.
  • Define methods and metrics to measure progress and success.
  • Provide process insights and share optimization opportunities based on financial data.
  • Assist with quality management and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide financial reports for audit requests, internal users, and other key stakeholders.
  • Other tasks as needed.
What You Have:
  • Industrial Engineering or relevant degree (Preference will be given to Post Graduate students)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Curious, with the ability to think in different contexts
  • Currently pursuing a degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Detail-oriented and able to efficiently prioritize tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with internal teams
  • Ability to tackle complex problems and break them down into understandable components
  • Preferred:
    • SQL and Python skills a plus
    • Keen interest in Lean Management techniques and methodologies
    • Expert Excel / Google Sheets skills required
    • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Looker, DOMO, or similar)
    • Familiarity with the affiliate marketing or performance marketing industry is a plus
    • Experience using a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
This is a one month internship during the summer vacation period.
