Position Overview
Based at Longmeadow HQ, to further strengthen our local Operations team, we are currently seeking a:
OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE (Longmeadow, South Africa)
II. MISSION
Ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's functions by working with the management team and contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
Oversee and manage the overall manufacturing operations at all the sites including production, planning, purchase, International sourcing, supply chain, logistics and 3rd party manufacturing facilities.
III. KEY TASKS
- Planning, organizing, and managing direct and indirect operations such as manufacturing, purchase, quality, maintenance, and logistic operations.
- Preparing the annual budget for Operations across sites and Assure business objectives in accordance with proposed budget and in line with productions schedules and quality standards.
- As a member of the Country Management team, creating the strategy for the future business opportunities to meet the overall business objectives including projects and capex purchases.
- Achievement of daily/ weekly/ monthly production targets, inventory management and cost control, implementing and sustaining safety at sites
- Optimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, chemicals, and capex. Monitor and improve production processes, identify problems, and take appropriate action for correction & prevention.
- Selection, training and motivation of staff and workers.
- Government liaison, licensing and approvals related to manufacturing.
- Timely reporting, generation and analysis of all MIS reports related to the department.
- Lead the local and international sourcing for various sites in line with the global purchasing strategy and local purchase plan as per budgets and target maximum savings with quality purchase with focus on vendor.
- Manage and increase effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain network improving on OTIF.
- Frequent interactions with key customers focusing on customer complaints and preventive measures to eliminate recurrence of quality and logistic complaints.
- Responsible for Project management and implementation of projects and capex purchase.
- B Tech in Food / Dairy Technology / Chemical Tech.
- Grade 12.
- MBA in Operations, Supply Chain and International Sourcing will be added advantage.
- 10 + years work experience in manufacturing sector of which experience as a Senior Manager Operations/ Factory Manager in food / pharma industry for minimum 3 years.
- Well versed with SAP, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and other related concepts.
- Exposure to chocolate and confectionery manufacturing will be added advantage.
- MNC experience of 2 years at a middle managerial/ senior managerial level.
- Experience in being a part of green field / brown field projects will be added advantage.
