Qualification Requirement: Degree from a university (graduate)
Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a retail or FMCG or distribution business
Reports to: CFO
Location: Full time and in-office. Applicant must be Cape Town (Southern Suburb) based

Understanding the finance aspect of operational role
Good working knowledge of Acumatica and/or experience with an ERP system
Knowledge of logistics for local and cross border (export) documentation and processes
Overall Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels while minimising carrying costs.
Daily review the inventory exception report. Investigate, follow up and resolve any stock differences per the exception report timeously
Perform a monthly reconciliation between Acumatica Inventory GL and Warehouse Stock System. Investigate, follow up and resolve any stock differences per the reconciliation timeously
Review and report quarterly to CFO aged stock, slow-moving stock and non-saleable stock. All write- offs of stock to be approved by CFO
Arrange for stock take at the various warehouses. Attend all stock takes. Investigate, follow up and resolve any stock take differences. All stock-take adjustments to be approved by CFO
Responsible for inventory management in Acumatica to ensure inventory correctly classified and coded
Supplier and Vendor Management
Maintain relationships with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate logistics performance and identify trends.
Track and Trace
Monitor the movement of goods through tracking systems and resolve any issues or delays in the logistics flow.
Return and Reverse Logistics
Manage the process of handling returned goods and coordinate reverse logistics operations. Ensure the reverse logistic process between operations and finance is followed and maintained to ensure returned stock is processed into the correct warehouse by operations and credit allocated to the correct debtor account by finance
Coordination with Internal Teams
Collaborate with sales, procurement and debtor teams to align logistics with overall business operations
Warehouse Management
Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
Maintain relationships with the warehouse service provider and negotiate the contract to secure favourable terms. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate warehouse performance and identify trends.
Cost Analysis
Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement within the logistics chain.
Data Analytics and Reporting
Utilize data analytics to assess logistics performance and generate reports for management review.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks in logistics operations and implement strategies to mitigate them.
