Global Forwarding Freight South Africa has an opening for an Operations Manager Cape Town where you will be responsible for the efficient running of OFR and AFR operations in the Cape Town Branch. Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.
In this Operations Manager Cape Town position
- You will improve OFR and AFR service levels and internal KPIs.
- You will improve Customer satisfaction and adherence to Customer SLAs.
- You will improve Branch profitability, OFR and AFR industry compliance as well as OFR and AFR company policies.
- You will improve productivity for both AFR and OFR and grow market share.
- You will be responsible for OFR and AFR KZN.
- You will be responsibility for Cape Town Branch Revenue and Costs and profitability.
- You will ensure OFR and AFR compliance with Industry and Internal DGF policies and standards.
- You will be participating in customer solutions development and implementation of new accounts.
- You will ensure OFR and AFR is optimally resourced to meet service standards.
- You will visit customers to maintain customer relationships, research customer needs and monitor customer satisfaction.
- You will maintain relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance.
- You will monitor the OFR and AFR, customer and shipment profitability.
- You will oversee and assist with estimates and RFQs/tenders.
- You will ensure timely processing of invoices in line with DGF financial controls.
- You will ensure continuous improvement by implementing First Choice, Station Improvements and adherence to quality policies.
- You will grow OFR and AFR revenue and market share in collaboration with sales and OFR/AFR product.
- You will produce weekly, monthly reports and other ad-hoc reports as maybe required by management.
- You will develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
- You will plan, organize, and direct and efficient and effective functional department.
- You will develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
- You will consult performance appraisal.
- You will manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
- You will identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.
- Must have a matric
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics or equivalent
- 5 years relevant industry experience in a Managerial role
