OPERATIONS MANAGER (Reporting to Plant Manager)

Duties

• Operations Manager will have the following functions reporting to him/her:
• Production managers (assembly, 3 press shop, VW, MBSA and Ford assembly)
• Production equipment maintenance
• Production tooling maintenance
• Meet Production Requirements as per production plan
• Effective management of assets based on world class maintenance philosophies
• Effective management of production tooling based on world class tooling management
• Ensure defined quality is produced as per scrap and quality standards
• Ensure that the correct quality and quantity are delivered to the customer at the right time
• Ensure desired OEE levels are achieved
• Ensure effective utilisation of personnel
• Ensure that SHE Standards are met
• Implementation, sustainability and improvement of world class 5S concept
• Continuous Improvement in all areas (OEE, Scrap, 5S, morale and all other production management areas)
• Creating a culture of continues improvement within your team

Education And Experience Required

The Ideal Candidate should have: (Experience and qualification will determine salary)

• 5 Years Supervisory/Management experience
• Production Management Diploma/Degree

• Have a good understanding of Quality Systems (IATF 16949)
• Have a good understanding of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 45000)
• Have Strong Leadership Skills
