The company needs someone to ensure efficient workflow to improve their turnaround time and to look after the department to achieve this goal.
Responsibilities
The Operations Manager will be the bridge between the workshop and the office, ideally someone who has mechanical and service advisor experience, preferably dealer and aftermarket experience. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Controlling the daily bookings
- Allocating the jobs to the mechanics based on their workload
- Pre-planning the workload based on when parts are due
- Ensuring the mechanics are sticking to the schedule for the day
- Rearranging the schedule when customers/parts do not arrive
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by monitoring the service advisors' interactions with customers and the customer's expectation
- Ensuring quotes are done and parts ordered timeously
- Regular customer feedback
- Dealing with difficult/unhappy customers
- Going through the quotes on big jobs to ensure we quoted on everything and the wording is correct
- Assisting service advisors with the workload when someone is off
- Mechanical and Technical minded, qualification in this field will be in your favour
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Clear Credit and Criminal Record
- Dealer and Aftermarket experience will count in your favour
- Parts or Service Advisor Experience will count in your favour
