As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of the company's operations, including 59 branches and support functions such as maintenance, auditing, and marketing. Your key responsibilities will include achieving targets, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a motivated workforce, improving systems, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving regular and sustainable growth.
Key qualifications for the Operations Manager:
- Matric
- BCom / Equivalent degree or national diploma
- Hons (advantageous)
- 5 - 7 years of operations management experience, with at least 3 years in a financial services environment
- It is essential to have established expertise in strategic management, enabling effective leadership and direction
- Working knowledge and experience of NCA, FSCA, FIC, and POPIA
Key duties for the Operations Manager include but are not limited to:
Staff Management:
- Lead, motivate, and support a large team, resolving any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with compliance and facilities departments to ensure compliance.
- Provide operational support and guidance to staff.
- Manage work assignment and allocations.

- Manage fraud and theft occurrences, including disciplinary actions if necessary.

- Review targets and report cost plans to senior management.
- Direct business teams to achieve targets.
Operations Project Delivery:
- Develop, implement, and review outcomes of assigned projects.
- Develop policies and procedures to enhance control and compliance.
Strategy:
- Regularly review operations performance in line with the current strategy.
- Make necessary changes to the strategy.
- Develop, communicate, and integrate new strategies within operations annually.
