Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Rosslyn Operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Full accountability and leadership on all aspects of the Road operations in Rosslyn
- Accountable for all initiatives being implemented across these operations, including potential new client take-on
- Meeting of all customer SLAs
- Fleet management and maintenance
- Overseeing Route and Driver allocations
- Overseeing fuel management
- Client KPI dashboard reporting, tracking and analysis
- Commercial / Financial understanding and application of contract and service level agreements and profitability
- Budget preparation
- Ensure accurate and timeous monthly invoicing and POD processing
- Managing daily operational performance in achieving metric targets
- Investigate failures with regards to deliveries, client complaints, damages etc to determine root cause and corrective actions
- Overall staff management, coaching, mentoring, succession planning and IR in collaboration with HR
- Evaluate service offerings available and key areas for improvement on pricing, volumes, vehicle size and options
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics Warehouse Management or equivalent (Advantage)
- Intermediate Microsoft Package ( Word, Excel PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Advanced Excel skills advantageous
- Transport tracking systems exposure
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a logistics environment, specifically Road Transportation
- Own vehicle and valid driving license
- Ability to travel and work extended hours
- Ability to wok in a complex and high-demand environment
- Ability to identify extension and new business development
- Must have high level of emotional maturity and intelligence, with assertiveness and high degree of common sense
