Operations manager is needed in Drakensberg.
Job requirements:
- Grade 12 with maths
- Previous management or supervision of staff
- Previous payroll/HR/IR experience
- Valid drivers license with own reliable vehicle
- Computer literate (MS Office)
Job responsibilities:
- To ensure the smooth running of the Company's contracts on the clients premises, ensuring effective operations, and if possible increase the headcounts on client's sites.
- To achieve optimum utilisation from staff members in achieving set goals and targets and the continued growth of The Workforce Group’s market share
- Monitor and manage all aspects of operations, operational administration systems and work with Business Development Consultant/ Sales Executives with regard to Sales at specified National and Regional Key Account clients.
- Communication, both written and oral, with Management, Branch, Clients and team members.
- Communicating instructions as per Management to clients, colleagues, and staff.
- Continuous monitoring of time and attendance systems at Key Account clients.
- Ensure that any queries relating to operations and sales are addressed.
- Continuously research your Key Accounts and their subsidiaries to ensure continuous sales growth.
- Assess Clients’ needs and present process outsourcing solutions to match those needs.
- Resolve all invoice and debtors queries within the time frame required by the Key Account client.
- Have a sound understanding of branch and client's systems, and maintain branch and client deadlines
- Enforce and maintain the correct company policies and procedures in terms of operations workflow and personnel
- Planning new contracts thoroughly in cooperation with client and Workforce personnel, and ensure that the correct documentation is in place for each new contract
- Be available on cellphone and on standby 24 hours per day
- Planning, setting up procedures and organizing relief staff in the event of strike action.
- Manages staff by shift, within acceptable variances and in compliance with labour laws
- Respond promptly to resolve safety and security issues, and make sound decisions concerning business operations.
- Visiting clients & workers to confirm work attendance and work performance, ensuring that any work related issues (disciplinary actions/delays, etc.) are addressed immediately with the relevant Client’s manager/supervisor and the branch office.
- Recruiting contract staff & ensuring they are correctly trained and inducted.
- Signing and renewal of Contract Specific Contracts for all contract workers
- Issuing Pay advices or pay wages when necessary, and processing employee leave forms and medical certificates
- Transporting staff to & from site
- Dealing with & solving contract workers queries
- Delivering of invoices
- Ensuring that all the correct number of staff and categories are supplied daily to the Client
- To ensure that all staff supplied comply with the correct dress code, have valid permits in place, and follow all Client’s health & safety requirements
- Ensuring that daily head counts and time sheets are completed on time and passed on to your manager
- Ensuring that the daily pool of extras is fully staffed at all times
- Monitor workers attendance and work performance
