Operations manager is needed to elp manage a bike-share programme in Stellenbosch. Looking to hire immediately for this role.
Description of the company:
- Poynt bikes is a start-up company operating out of Stellenbosch and providing bike-share services to the University, the town and tourists visiting the area.
- The bike share scheme is a driven by high technology and will cover the entire metropole of the town. The primary goal is to alleviate congestion and enhance the health, brand and reputation of the town.
Key customers:
- Students of the University of Stellenbosch
- Residents of Stellenbosch
- Tourists to Stellenbosch
- Key organisations in the town – university, businesses, NPOs,…,
Job responsibilities:
- Reports to: Directors of the company
- Expected to gradually develop a pyramid beneath them to support with day to day operations. Over time, role will transition from heavy operations focus to more strategic focus where management of pyramid becomes paramount
- Drive roll-out of bike share scheme
- Ensure operations run smoothly
- Maintain direct report to directors and assume overall running and operations of company
Job requirements:
- Grade 12 matric a minimum
- Tertiary qualifications not required but will be given preference – strong motivation will be required to overlook failure in this aspect
