To assist in providing quality services and safe operation of Lamproom equipment and tools for health, safety and productivity in the
mining sector.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 certificate or equivalent with mathematics and physical science on standard grade (D
- At least 1 year experience as a lamproom operator and/or technical type role / environment;
- Basic understanding of lamp room equipment and tools;
- Good computer skills (Microsoft package)

- Provides legal and competent services
- Compile and submit the necessary reports (legal documentation).
- Resolves all customer complaints and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain and monitor lamp room equipment.
- Maintains through and up-to-date knowledge of internal and external procedures, schedules and directives pertinent to the lamp room, and attends in-service, mandatory, basic, advance and/or specialized training to maintain current and proficiency or learn new job related information and skills.
- Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility.
- Liaise with Lampsman to assist in ensuring quality and safety of work and that contractual obligations are met
- Liaise with visitors, clients, staff and others to assist with general enquiries.
- Provides efficient and effective administrative support and customer service as required.
- Keep Lampsman updated of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect the customer or our company.
- Feedback on a regular basis to Lampsman.
- Participate as appropriate in quality programs implemented across the company.
- Actively identifies existing and potential hazards in the workplace.
- Reports identified hazards to designated persons.
- Contributes to workplace meetings, inspections or other consultative activities.
- Ensure medical and inductions are valid.
- Complies with and actively promotes Company Health and Safety policies, practices and procedures.
