- Update Nurse Availability: You will be responsible for contacting nurses and updating their availability for out-of-hours shifts. This will involve regular communication and coordination to ensure adequate staffing.
- Client Communication: You will be in regular contact with clients to determine their staffing needs for out-of-hours shifts. This will involve understanding their requirements, addressing any concerns, and providing suitable solutions.
- Managing cancellations and replacements: In the event of cancellations, you will be responsible for promptly finding suitable replacements to ensure continuous coverage. This requires a proactive approach and the ability to think on your feet.
- Weekend and public holiday duties: You will be required to work every weekend and public holiday to ensure seamless staffing operations during these crucial times.
- Building relationships: Developing and maintaining positive relationships with both nurses and clients is a crucial aspect of this role. You will need to foster strong connections to ensure a reliable and efficient staffing process.
- Transportation: The candidate must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a car for traveling to different hospital locations as necessary.
- Shift coordination: Collaborate with the Medical Consultant to manage and schedule the out-of-hours shifts for Nurses, ensuring that all hospitals have appropriate staffing levels.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of Nurse availability, client requirements, and shift schedules using our internal systems.
- Troubleshooting: Address any issues or concerns raised by Nurses or clients promptly and effectively, working towards finding suitable solutions.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to the medical consultant on staffing status, Nurse availability, and any notable trends or challenges.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for effective coordination with nurses and clients.
- Attention to detail: Due to the critical nature of this role, you must possess a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate scheduling and staffing.
- Good memory: A good memory is important for managing nurse availability, client requirements, and other pertinent information.
- Relationship building: You should have the ability to build and maintain relationships with nurses and clients, fostering trust and rapport.
- Car and valid driver's license: The candidate must have a reliable car and a valid driver's license for travel between hospital locations.
- Flexibility: This position requires working evening shifts from 15h00 to 21h00, Monday to Friday, with two days off (either Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday and Thursday) depending on the assigned shift. Weekend and public holiday duties are also part of the job.
