This is a part-time position servicing USA-based clients, requiring flexibility to accommodate different time zones. Candidates should be comfortable working across international time differences to ensure seamless collaboration and impactful coaching sessions. The role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse businesses, providing strategic financial guidance while maintaining a balanced and flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching & Leadership Development: Mentor business owners or founders on leadership effectiveness, strategic thinking and stakeholder management
- Financial Strategy & Advisory: Guide business owners or founders in financial planning, risk management, forecasting, and cash flow optimization
- Operational Excellence: Help business owners or founders implement best practices in reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial controls
- Business Transformation: Assist business owners or founders in driving growth, restructuring, and process improvements within their organizations
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide insights on boardroom communication, investor relations, and cross-functional collaboration

Skills And Experience Of The Ideal Candidate
- Industry Expertise: Strong background in financial planning, risk management, and business strategy
- Coaching & Mentorship Skills: Proven experience mentoring or coaching finance professionals, and business owners at an executive level
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance (IFRS/GAAP), capital structuring, and performance analysis
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to break down complex financial challenges and guide business owners or founders in making sound business decisions
- Communication & Influence: Strong executive presence, capable of engaging with CEOs, boards, investors, and cross-functional teams
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with financial software - QuickBooks mostly
- Ability to simplify financial concepts for non-financial business owners
- Strong financial storytelling skills to help business owners connect numbers with their vision and strategy
- Experience in financial decision-making coaching rather than just reporting and compliance
- Empathy & Active Listening: Understand client fears, challenges and emotional responses to finance
