Duties: Get children ready for school in the mornings, Take to school in the mornings, Collect from school, Take to extra-murals, Assist with and supervise homework, Run general family errands, Engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, Bathing your children, Prepare meals for your children, Occasional Babysitting and weekend work (by prior arrangement. Safely transporting the child to and from school, ensuring punctuality. Running errands related to the children's needs. Transportation to and from extra murals and play dates.
Bathing child in the morning on days when work starts at 06:00, during school holidays and sick days. Bathing child in the evenings and prepping meals. Tutoring and ensuring that some part of the day is spent with revision or homework, assignments, tasks and school projects. Au pair will also be required to ensure that the child is prepared for school events, extra murals and activities. Au pair will also be required to liaise with teachers and familiarize themselves with the school. Au pair must be available to attend to doctors appointments and other commitments and flexible to assist outside the required hours when needed and if arranged in advance.
Activities: In addition to extra murals au pair should be able to engage in intellectually stimulating activities with the child as needed, assist with arts and crafts, take the child to the park, and ensure that the child is well occupied during the school holidays. Ensure bags are packed for the following day.
Requirements: Female aged 21- 35 years old. Au pair should be committed, kind, warm, trustworthy, reliable to assist parents who have extremely demanding jobs and willing to become part of the family. Au pair should be enthusiastic and be able to identify with the child who has a bubbly, independent and confident nature and who is looking to be stimulated and enjoys the company of adults. Studying towards something in Childcare would be a bonus, good work history and commitment as well as references.
Salary: R13000 - R15000 per month plus SARS Rates (R4.64) per km (Salary Dependent on experience and qualifications)
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
- Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
- Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
- Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must have a passion for children
- Must have Matric
- Must have a South African ID document.
