Role Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Part-Time Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of our business. This individual will handle core finance functions, ensuring data accuracy, organized records, and timely reporting to facilitate informed decision-making. Working closely with the General Manager, this role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance who enjoys working independently in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Administration:
- Perform reconciliations, VAT returns, and maintain well-organized financial records.
- Track and manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Update and maintain financial data in Xero, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Cash Flow & Reporting Support:
- Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and other financial reports as needed, providing insights to support budget planning.
- Generate financial statements and contribute to monthly budget reviews and financial analysis.
- Data Management & Organization:
- Ensure all financial data is properly documented, organized, and accessible for reporting purposes.
- Work with the General Manager to prepare data for board meetings, identifying key financial insights and updates.
- Experience: Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role, preferably in the fashion, retail, or e-commerce sectors.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
- Strong skills in data management, VAT, and reconciliations.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data processing.
