About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing People Team as a People Partner, reporting into our Head of Talent and People. You will work directly alongside our People Partner in London, the Talent Team and the broader business.
We are looking for someone who has experience scaling a People function, is ambitious and passionate about people, and is willing to get their hands dirty. You will be able to make a huge impact by helping to create and manage our policies, work with and coach managers, and focus on supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
BVNK is a fast-paced start up where we are building the People function to help support the business, employees and managers. With a broad scope, you will have the opportunity to help shape our People strategy from the ground up, utilise your skills and knowledge and gain extensive experience.
As People Partner, you will:
- Build, implement and maintain policies and procedures across the business.
- Support with employee onboarding from contract creation through to the end of their probation period.
- Manage the offboarding process with managers.
- Support with People initiatives such as performance management (measuring, calibrating and career progression frameworks), learning and development, culture and engagement, and compensation reviews.
- Work with our Managers with capacity planning, organisational design and shaping their people and hiring strategy.
- Provide strategic advice and coaching to managers across the business and build tools based on needs.
- Advise on employee relations issues, complying with local employment law across various countries.
- Review employee benefits and implement new benefits as required.
- Experience working in a fast growth company, a startup environment, or scaling a business.
- Be adaptable to change and willing to get involved in a variety of projects.
- Strong skills and knowledge of the People function and experience working in a People Partner role.
- A self starter with a positive attitude who is looking to be challenged and grow.
- A solid understanding of South African employment law is ideal.
