We are seeking a talented individual to help us take our services to the next level and serve our Key and HGHV (High Growth High Value) clients on the African continent, with a focus on Mining and Integrated Energy industries. Your expertise and skills will help us deliver high-quality major Process and Functional Safety projects and you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our business.

Based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town (alternatively, in any other countries where ERM has a presence in Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Ghana), you will have the opportunity to work with a talented and motivated team of professionals who are committed to excellence.
This Partner will provide inspirational leadership that engages and motivates all levels of staff and contribute to the achievement of ERMs environmental due diligence service offering and growth strategy for the region. You will have the experience and capability to lead strategic engagements at the C-suite level.
We are looking for someone who can deliver but equally maintain and build client relationships in the Safety Services space, so that they can also be originating sales. The incoming Partner will be expected to capitalize on existing relationships with clients and expanding that further through delivering on projects and building relationships with new clients. We welcome applications of candidates coming from the specialized environmental and sustainability consultancies as well as engineering consultancies and relevant industry sectors.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience managing and successfully delivering EHS audits, medium complexity projects and/or specific deliverables or phases of work on larger programmes on time and in budget, including technical and financial oversight; ability to build, coach, and mentor collaborative teams. You will have demonstrable ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will enjoy working in a multi-cultural, international environment and you will have good attention to detail. This role will also suit someone who possesses strong organizational and multitasking capabilities. Educated to environmental studies, safety and or engineering or related discipline, you will be fluent in English, with excellent reporting writing skills. Other languages skills (French, German, Portuguese) will be a plus.

Partners in ERM play a pivotal role in delivering business results and shaping our future growth and strategic direction.
As a Partner, you will be driving for the commercial growth of ERMs Safety Services, supporting as well other service lines in the Africa market, whilst working with existing clients and winning new business.
The Partner will provide leadership in communicating and enabling ERMs Health & Safety culture and be accountable and responsible for the following (not limited to):
- Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth with target clients aligned with ERMs global strategy.
- Provide business value selling at the top levels of client organizations, raising the profile of ERMs capabilities within key clients, to identify and shape clients needs for ERM services.
- Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value and quality service.
- Maintain a finger on the pulse of industry business cycles and prioritize sales efforts toward high-potential, top opportunities.
- Manage efforts utilizing technical understanding to develop proposals, including written content, value-based pricing, presentations and contracting.
- Contribute to leadership and management of major projects for ERMs Key Clients at any stage of the assets lifecycle.
- Build on and expand the existing high-performance team and serve as a leader and mentor to consultants. Identify emerging talent and work with them to reach their full potential; ensure rising stars are nurtured, developed and given new areas of responsibility.
- Work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to build ERMs global business, as well as to lead client and project teams.
- Develop a working understanding of ERMs other services and actively support cross-selling these services to our Key Clients.
- Meet business financial and sales targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/expectations, together with internal and contract requirements.
- Travel would be required, both for project-related work and as part of sales duties.
