About The Position
Dimagi is looking for a Partnerships Analyst to join our US Health team. This position will be affiliated with our office in Cape Town, South Africa, but is open to remote employment for a candidate based in Africa or Europe
Please Note: The successful candidate will be required to structure their working hours to be available until 12:00 pm EST. There will also be some additional later calls as needed based on what the team is working on.
The Partnerships Analyst role is a junior partnerships role at Dimagi. In this role, you will serve as a flexible resource on the partnerships team, supporting multiple work streams and sales channels, with a focus on the Requests for Proposals (RFP) channel and market research sprints.
The US Health division was established in March of 2020 as Dimagi began supporting numerous public health agencies' COVID-19 response efforts across several American cities and states. We have since grown into a team of passionate technologists, project managers, and public health experts designing digital systems to support public health programs and improve health outcomes across the United States. We are proud to be supporing important healthcare initiatives - including behavioral health interventions and working with community-based organizations.
Responsibilities
RFX Support [65%]
- Scan and source relevant Requests for Proposals (RFPs) using online RFP repositories and State and local listservs.
- Participate in full RFP reviews and the creation of 2-3 page digestible summary documents with pertinent findings from those reviews.
- Collaborate with the RFX lead to draft competitive proposals in response to RFPs, including creating rough outlines, drafting large sections of text, and refining text based on feedback.
- Provide inputs on to support response strategy, including suggestions for technical and implementation approaches that would benefit the project and client.
- Support discrete research tasks assigned by the Proposal Manager to help the team better understand the government agency who issued the RFP and other competitors who offer solutions in the use case and/or will likely respond to the RFP.
- Support style reviews for completed proposals, ensuring that font, margins, headers, images and other proposal content is styled correctly inline with our style guide and proposal templates.
- Updates to the RFX project plan, either about individual activities like completion of a task, or on behalf of the team during a proposal sprint, (eg. the creation of a resources tab with links to all relevant resources.)
- Other tasks to support RFX sourcing, response preparation, and channel management.
- Conduct discrete research tasks related to Partnerships efforts, such as attending a webinar and taking notes, reviewing documents from state governments and synthesizing findings, or collecting information on competitor solutions.
- Support the creation of requirements for demo app configuration or other demo preparation, including researching specific elements of a use case such as form contents, typical user roles, and example competitor solutions.
- Plan and execute full research sprints on a use case or buy-er type of interest, based on an area of focus and key research questions provided by Deputy Director of Partnerships. These sprints may involve deep diving material on a subject across multiple sources, interviews with external consultants or subject matter experts, and consolidation of findings in an easy to digest slide deck for the larger team.

- Strong organizational skills - you are comfortable working across multiple workstreams, staying on top of your tasks, completing tasks on time and supporting a larger team to stay organized during a complex proposal push.
- Attention to detail - you have excellent attention to detail across reading and writing. You can read lengthy and dense documents and identify / extract pertinent details to guide decision making or proposal revisions. Your drafts are high quality, with few errors in spelling / grammar or references to past proposals.
- Synthesizing and analytic thinking - you can connect the dots in research or strategic positioning efforts, drawing on disparate materials and learning across different projects.
- Excellent writing - you are a strong writer, capable of creating structured and logical outlines, strong prose and compelling arguments. You can modify your writing and structural approach based on feedback from other team members.
- Interest in US healthcare - you have interest, experience or education in the US healthcare technology, public health, health policy, etc.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite.
- Past work or education related to product or market research
- Two+ years of related professional experience in healthcare technology, startup, social impact, or Software- as-a-Service space, and/or experience in management consulting
- Experience using Salesforce or other Customer Relation Management software
