THE OPPORTUNITY

IIE Varsity College Distance campus is seeking outstanding appointees in the field of Digital Communication to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Humanities. This is a fully remote position.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.

Minimum Education Requirements Per Module

A completed Doctorate in the following specialisations:

• Strategic Communication
• Digital Communication
• Brand Communication
• Corporate Communication
• Discipline allied to Communication (Media Studies etc.)

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

It would be preferable if the following additional competencies are fulfilled:

• Industry experience in Digital/ Strategic communications
• Lecturing experience (Postgraduate Level)

Special Requirements:

• A strong internet connection with backup power is essential.

Working Conditions:

Contract Type

• This position operates under an Independent Contractor agreement, commencing in 2025.
