Kloof Street House is looking for a technically focused, task orientated, passionate and driven individual who can work at high pace with great attention to detail to join our team as a pastry and cold kitchen chef.
Job requirements:
- Must be dynamic, driven and talented.
- Qualification from a recognised culinary institution
- Proven track record in upmarket, busy establishments
- A strong leader with experience in running a busy high pressure kitchen
- A motivator and role model with high standards and the ability to work quickly, as well as cope well under pressure
- Have a sound understanding of food preparation & storage, hygiene, wastage and operating kitchen equipment
- Passion for pastry section, cold section and menu item development
- Demonstrate an awareness of contemporary, international and innovative food trends
- Passionate about food - fresh, authentic, simplistic and delicious,
- Willing and able to work shifts.
- Own transport essential
