- The role requires the incumbent to administer wages (weekly and monthly) payrolls, SARS submissions and 3rd party data/payments.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- At least 7 years' experience in payroll office administration
- Payroll qualification or related field
- Sage 300 People & ESS knowledge
- Knowledge of tax law and legal regulations/requirements

- Review new employee recruitment documentation as well as record created on the payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance with company rule requirements.
- Review current employee movement documentation as well as existing record on the payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance with company rule requirements.
- Administer payroll earnings/hours, deductions and company contributions accurately.
- Ensure that all payrolls comply with the current SARS PAYE regulations and Department of Labour requirements.
- Review all leave requests submitted on ESS in line with company policies and labour requirements.
- Run monthly payroll reports in preparation for finance journals.
- Ensure payroll records are compliant with SARS EMP501 requirements.
- Assist with general HR / Payroll admin tasks as and when required.
- Submit payment requests with supporting documents to relevant managers for final approval.
- Promote positive teamwork within the department and organisation.
- Assist with standard audits and attend to requests from the Department of Labour.
- Compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conform to all safety and health procedures and standards.
