Job Overview:
Accurate, timely, and cost-effective payroll processing is at the core of our client's business. Payroll Processing Clerks are integral to the success of the company, acting as the main point of contact with clients and ensuring their employees are paid correctly and on time. The Payroll Processing Clerk will manage all aspects of payroll processing, including data entry, payment execution, overseeing payroll changes, and addressing any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Handle and process payroll information, including payments, paycheck distribution, changes in compensation, deductions, bonuses, and vacation pay.
- Data Entry & Maintenance:
- Accurately enter employees personal information into payroll databases and ensure data integrity.
- Workflow Management:
- Manage the workflow to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while troubleshooting any issues.
- Provide payroll support to clients through phone, email, and online platforms to resolve inquiries.
- Payroll Reporting:
- Generate regular and customized timesheets and payroll reports.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with state and federal regulations governing payroll processing.
- Payroll software, such as FrontDesk, ExecuPay, Zendesk, QuickBooks, PPX, PlatinumPay, and TimeClock.
- Essential payroll terms and abbreviations.
- State and federal payroll regulations.
- Procedures for processing different types of payroll.
- Tools such as custom spreadsheets for payroll reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Above-average math skills and a comfort level working with numbers.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and using payroll software.
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
- Prior payroll processing experience is preferred.
- Prior experience working with numbers is an advantage.
Must be able to work full-time US hours (3 PM-12AM).
