Role Headline
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the operational services delivery, drives operational excellence and continuous improvement in terms of user and business satisfaction, compliance, quality, cost and efficiency and is actively supporting the implementation of the H2R transformation.
Responsibilities Of The Role-
- Operations Management:
- Manages P&O Shared Services for Sub Saharan Africa and drives for a high performance, strong customer/business focus and service-oriented culture by understanding customers' and users' needs, expectations and key business drivers.
- Applies global KPIs and deploys KPI/based service performance monitoring.
- Defines and/or implements/maintains and continuously enhances standard operational processes and productivity.
- Ensures effective knowledge and best practice sharing across the service delivery organization.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives to ensure smooth operations and to consistently deliver an optimized, compliant performance.
- Actively contribute to the implementation of the globally defined GBS H2R transformation regarding process and service harmonization, simplification/standardization, implementation of global P&O IT Solutions, Digitalization and Automation initiatives etc.
- Coordinates and/or liaises with external service providers and monitors their performance against respective SLAs.
- Contributes to regulatory updates within P&O Regional Organisation
- Is the main point of contact for company liabilities with external Institutions (e.g. Social Security, Insurances, Government departments etc.) and ensures compulsory documentation is always accurate and updated in case of external audit.
- Manages special projects including carve-in and carve-outs.
- Ensure adherence to all BCG Rules and responsibilities such as EHS/Quality Management etc.
- Decides on personnel resource allocation and is responsible for the management of related budget planning and reporting.
- Manages and coordinates the assigned team inclusive of both local and offshore

- Foster communication and collaboration within your team and with the global colleagues.
- Develop and nurture a long-term trust-based relationship with key internal stakeholders and partner with the local country and global support functions
- Relevant formal qualification in Human Resources Management
- 5+ years of managerial experience leading teams and projects
- Process and Change Management experience (advantageous)
- Understanding of Sub-Saharan Africa Country Legislation
- Experience with Workday HRIS, PaySpace Payroll and other HR IT Applications
- Good knowledge of HR / People Management core processes
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (Business English)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to manage, coach, lead and inspire a team of professionals/operators
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook applications.
