Performance and Monitoring Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary functions of the candidate are:
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of IT environment
- Execute daily control room monitoring tasks
- Support to Performance & Monitoring, Field IT, and Electrical departments in ad hoc requests (SCADA data extraction and analysis)
RESPONSIBILITIES (grouped by estimated percentage of workload allocation, not limited to):
- 70%
- Office IT management (to be executed in line with official procedures)
- Specifically including office user support
- Office network maintenance (laptops, desktops, printers, )
- Internet connection monitoring and management
- Proactively identify areas of improvement within procedures
- Continuous monitoring of plant devices (from SCADA, Visual Basic scripts, )
- Continuous plant failure logging/documentation
- Office IT management (to be executed in line with official procedures)

- Ad hoc functions and support within the Performance & Monitoring, Field IT, and Electrical departments
REQUIRED SKILLS (QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE):
- Recognized Degree or National Diploma in either Information Technology or similar
- Working experience in an IT environment
- Experience in usage of SCADA User interfaces (will be an advantage)
- Knowledge and experience in Modbus TCP and serial communication protocols (will be an advantage)
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office environment
- Must have knowledge of computer networks
- Knowledge of fiber optic networks
- Good problem solving /network debugging skills
- Valid Driver’s license, minimum category B and have own transport to and from work
