Qualifications
- BPharm degree
- Must be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Perform clinical interventions including Drug Utilisation Review (DUR)
- Finalise chronic Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) and special medicine pre-authorisation applications
- Handle medicine application escalations to the Clinical Committee for cases outside of clinical protocols
- Load medicine for members applying and going overseas for more than one month
- Handle the duplicate worklist efficiently
- Complete queries on the Helpline from the contact centre and doctors
- Manage operational and clinical tasks within Medicine Management
- BPharm degree
- Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical interventions
Experience in the PBM environment will be advantageous
Knowledge And Skills
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of The Pharmacy Act, the Medical Scheme Act, Pharmacology, PMB and algorithms for ICD conditions
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy
- Work in a healthcare facility
- Regular office hours
- May require handling of sensitive medical information
