Pattern Brands - Photo Retoucher

Our client has an e-commerce business that curates and creates high-quality products for daily life. They are currently searching for a talented Photo Retoucher to join their creative team and contribute to ongoing success.

Responsibilities:

As a Photo Retoucher, you will be responsible for:

• Image Enhancement: Conducting high-end retouching, color matching, and compositing for a high volume of assigned product or product and lifestyle images for print, web, and social media.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with multiple department team members to fulfill image edit requests while following creative direction to achieve high-quality photos.
• Project Management: Efficiently managing multiple projects without compromising overall image quality, keeping project tracking tools updated, and responding quickly to feedback and comments to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Asset Organization: Maintaining a high standard of asset organization for the images across all our brands, including organizing, resizing, and renaming image files, adhering to file name conventions, archiving images, and handling retrieval requests from team members.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Professional Experience: Possess 3-5 years of professional retouching experience.
• Software Proficiency: Possess expert knowledge of Capture One photo editing software and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), including layers, masks, paths, color correction, cloning/healing, dodging/burning, actions, and non-destructive workflow.
• Color and Skin Retouching: Must have experience in color grading and skin retouching.
• Portfolio: A portfolio of current work demonstrating photo retouching skills, preferably with E-Commerce and lifestyle photography examples.
• Attention to Detail: Possess strong visual sensibility and meticulous attention to detail.
• Creative Direction: Able to follow creative direction to ensure assets are on-brand with photo guidelines.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, managing multiple projects quickly without sacrificing overall image quality.
• Self-motivated: Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Communication: Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills in English.

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

• E-Commerce Experience: Experience working with E-Commerce companies.
• Productivity Tools: Familiarity with productivity tools such as Asana, Google Suite, and Slack.
