eCommerce Product Photography Coordinator - 3 month Contract

Our eCommerce department requires a product photography coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day photography process from an eCommerce perspective, ensuring that website images are available for all products within agreed lead times.

The role will require the incumbent to proactively manage the photography backlog & pipeline, working closely with team members within the eCommerce, Merchandise & Photography teams. We are looking for a proactive & self-motivated problem solver, that will drive improvements & efficiencies in process and communication through regular and consistent collaboration & feedback. Excellent organisational & communication skills are a must-have.

Key Duties
  • Track image availability using available eCommerce systems & tools including items that are in stock as well as those that are due to arrive in the short term.
  • Work with relevant team members to brief jobs for the photography studio, adhering to relevant business rules & timings (eg. product volumes & styling items).
  • Ensure that photography briefs take into account eCommerce image requirements (eg. Product sets & collections).
  • Coordinate with the merchandise & photography teams regarding photography jobs, including sample availability & delivery timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between the eCommerce, Photography & merchandise teams, ensuring that requirements are understood, queries are addressed, and issues are escalated as needed.
  • Assist the studio to prioritise jobs at a group level, ensuring that overall product visibility is managed across chains.
  • Compile weekly photography reports and share with relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster positive workplace relationships and drive cross-functional cohesion and teamwork, both within the Photography Studio team as well as with other teams in the business.
Job Requirements
  • Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
    • A minimum of 1 years experience in a relevant field such as photography, e-commerce, DC operations, or similar would be preferential
    • Proficient with MS Office 365 to manage communications and other tasks relating to the function (desirable)
    • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to resolve a variety of issues & queries
    • Would be required to spend 1 day per week at our studio in Montague Gardens (own transport)

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with many individuals & teams, at all levels of the organisation
    • Flexible and adaptable must enjoy working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
    • Ability to quickly and calmly react to changing organizational needs and deadlines, both internal and external
    • Effective time management, organizational and administrative skills able to balance multiple priorities
    • Can do positive attitude eager to grow, learn and develop your skills.
    • Passionate about the fashion, photography, or ecommerce industries
