PHP Developer Role WordPress and API Integration Specialist

Salary: R15000 - R36000 (Freelance contract)

Were seeking a skilled PHP developer with expertise in WordPress, API integrations, and modern development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress solutions using the Homey Theme.
• Build, test, and deploy API integrations.
• Leverage AI tools and Python code to streamline development processes.
• Participate in daily Zoom co-working sessions from 9am to 11am UK time, Monday to Friday.

Core Skills

PHP Development

Strong proficiency in PHP and its frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).

Adherence to coding standards and best practices.

WordPress Development

In-depth knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.

Experience developing custom themes, child themes, and plugins.

Familiarity with WordPress hooks (actions and filters).

Expertise in optimising WordPress for performance and speed.

Understanding of WordPress REST API and multisite setups.

Knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and migration processes.

API Integration

Proficiency with RESTful and SOAP APIs.

Skilled in authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys).

Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API documentation tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).

Front-End Development

Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including ES6+).

Experience with frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.

Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility expertise.

Database Management

Skilled in MySQL, schema design, and database optimisation.

Familiarity with SQL queries, joins, and indexing.

AI and Python Integration

Ability to integrate and work with AI tools to enhance productivity.
