Job Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to identify movement and mobility issues.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on assessment findings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address patients' specific needs and goals.
- Administer a variety of physical therapy techniques, exercises, and interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Educate patients on proper self-care strategies and exercises to enhance their recovery.
- Rehabilitation:
- Guide patients through rehabilitative exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and overall mobility.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities and assistive devices as appropriate to facilitate recovery.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
- Provide regular progress reports to interdisciplinary healthcare teams and collaborate with other professionals for comprehensive patient care.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Promote a proactive approach to health and wellness through lifestyle modifications and injury prevention strategies.
- Continuing Education:
- Stay abreast of advancements in physiotherapy and participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice as a physiotherapist in the Cayman Islands.
