· Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent with good results in mathematics.
· Tertiary study is an advantage.
· Min 5 years in a production environment with at least 3 years planning and scheduling experience in a similar environment.
· Excellent English communication skills, oral and written.
· Excellent computer skills, working with MS Office and Amtrack
· Must be prepared to work overtime / weekends / shifts in accordance with operational requirements

· Prepare daily plan for each machine and each run and extrapolate for nightshift.
· Monitor production status and progress to ensure all jobs planned and in process are completed on time.
· Allocate and distribute work load per team and operator for optimal productivity in pursuance of deadlines.
· Calculate running times and estimate completion times.
· Check that the action team effectively actions the “prep” in accordance with the production plan.
· Ensure that the plan is attached to each machine for the next shift.
· Monitor each machine is aware of the order of runs and times for the full shift.
· Prepare the plan for the next shift before close of business each day.
· Supervise planning assistants
