Job Summary
The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing & developing plans to cost-effectively transform the unconstrained demand from the market through a constrained module and still achieve the business objectives. This will be achieved through managing and directing the supply chain planning department, process, and systems so that marketing demands are met at lowest cost.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain NQF 6 or higher
- Minimum 3 years planning/production/supply chain experience in a FMCG environment
- Knowledge of ABACA & CTI an advantage
- Manufacturing and Supply chain experience essential
- Knowledge of LEAN, Pull Production, and basic supply chain principles
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-
- Develop and implement planning strategy.
- Support the development and implementation of a strategic supply chain infra-structure plan
- Analyze and report operations performance
- Develop, agree and monitor performance goals
- Guide, support and coach team
- Manage externally manufactured product supply (Outsourcing)
- Planning methods/techniques
- Inventory management
- People management
