Job Description:
As a Podcast Production and Social Media Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our podcast. Your primary responsibilities will include managing our social media presence on select channels, optimizing podcast content, collaborating on content strategy, designing engaging visuals, sourcing and reaching out to potential guests, and staying on top of social media trends. You will work closely with our team to ensure our podcast reaches a wider audience and continues to deliver high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase podcast visibility and engagement across various platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and other social media channels.
- Create, schedule, and manage posts using marketing automation platforms like Buffer.
- Monitor social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Podcast Optimization:
- Work on improving the overall quality and reach of the podcast by optimizing episode titles, descriptions, and tags.
- Ensure that each episode is SEO-friendly and accessible to a broader audience.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement new ways to enhance listener engagement.
- Design Experience:
- Use Canva and Figma to create visually appealing graphics, promotional materials, and social media content.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with the podcasts branding and style guidelines.
- Design eye-catching thumbnails and promotional banners to attract more listeners.
- Guest Sourcing and Outreach:
- Identify potential guests who align with our podcasts theme and audience interests.
- Reach out to potential guests, coordinate interview schedules, and manage guest communications.
- Prepare guests for their appearances and ensure a smooth recording process.
- Manage Social Media Channels:
- Oversee the management of LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and other social media channels.
- Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and incorporate them into our strategy.
- Writing LinkedIn Articles:
- Write and publish insightful LinkedIn articles to promote podcast episodes and highlight key takeaways.
- Collaborate with the team to generate content ideas and ensure articles align with the podcasts messaging.
- Experience with ChatGPT / OpenAI:
- Utilize ChatGPT/OpenAI to generate content ideas, episode summaries, and social media posts.
- Experiment with AI tools to enhance content creation and streamline workflow.
- Social Media Trends and Analysis:
- Keep abreast of emerging social media trends and industry developments.
- Analyze the performance of social media campaigns and report findings to the team.
- Provide recommendations for improving engagement and expanding our reach.
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably in a podcast or media setting.
- Proficiency in Canva and Figma.
- Strong understanding of podcast optimization and SEO strategies.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with experience in writing LinkedIn articles.
- Familiarity with ChatGPT/OpenAI and marketing automation platforms like Buffer.
