Port Elizabeth: DEBT COLLECTION SPECIALIST
Role: Minimise customer risk by recovering any outstanding debt by using a variety of approaches and keeping the customer informed throughout the process
Minimum Requirements:
-Female
-Fully bilingual with excellent English proficiency
-Matric / Grade 12
-Financial Diploma or Degree OR Paralegal qualification
-Professional and well presented
-2 to 3 years recent experience in Debt Collection a must (Full function – NOT CALL CENTER) (KEY REQUIREMENT)
-Strong problem solving and conflict handling skills
-Ability to handle pressure
-Resilient and tenacious
-Excellent communication skills
-Computer literate
-Stable employment record
-Contactable References
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-Full Debt Collection function (Phone debtors and record details, Diarise to follow up, prepare final demand, Send demand and notice to list and diarise, including listing return date etc.)
-If an offer is made, tie up with an AOC and / or AOD (if insured, get authority from insurer).
-Diairise payment dates and follow up.
-Debt recovery and final demands for CGIC collections and ad hoc collections
-Achieve dead collection targets
-Provide timeous and accurate reports
-Report to Credit Manager
-Manage and report on existing legal files
-Obtain regular updates from Attorneys and Credit Insurers.
-Update M-Files collection package to ensure constant and real-time recording of all matters.
-Produce monthly and adhoc reports for clients.
-Keep Credit Managers abreast of progress.
-Monitor impact on insurance policies
-Determine which clients are insured.
-Monitor impact of changes on insurance policy and flag these with clients.
-Deal with final demands and new matters
-Insist on an LAA (Legal Action Advice) Form with indemnity to list, with copy credit application form and statement at least, before actioning. Ensure the whole account is LAA’d, not just the overdue portion.
-General administration (filing, faxing etc.)
Salary: R 9 000.00 - R 11 000.00 gross maximum (Depending on relevant experience)
