Were on the lookout for an experienced Communications Practitioner(FIXED TERM CONTRACT)to implement Sappi SA's internal communications plan for Ngodwana Mill, with a tactical support function to relevant stakeholders, including the following: External Communication, Community Relations, Social Impact, and Government Relations and align the consistent communication mission of Sappi SAs strategy and executed in keeping with all Sappi policies and internal guidelines and processes, as well as the IABC best practice.
As a Communications Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing operational communication to support business strategies for key stakeholders.
- Provide operational and administrative support for the execution of relevant projects and plans.
- Provide insights and support to the Communication Manager Operations in compiling departmental internal communication budget for the business unit.
- Write content for various communication tools including newsletters, flyers, posters and video scripting and storyboarding.
- Oversee the production processes including photography, proofreading, field testing and graphic design.
- Oversee the application of Sappi's Corporate Identity to ensure a professional cohesive image of Sappi to enhance the corporate image.
- Undertake brand audits and oversee the replacement of branding such as Sappi banners and other corporate material e.g. new strategy branding.
- Coordinate and execute critical events including Long Service Events, Retirement Events and GM Review Meetings.
- Support key departments in arranging key events such as Global Safety Week and Womens Day.
- Assist GMs office in planning and coordinating key customer and senior government visits.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication tools, channels and key messages for impact and effectiveness, including Newsletter readership and projects.
- Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual communication reports.
- Participate in departmental planning and review meetings.
- Undertake formal and informal communications research as required by strategy and compile reports.
- Relevant public relations/communications qualification.
- At least three years relevant experience.
- Code 08 drivers license with three years of driving experience and own transport
