Peermed CTC, an established and expanding Medical Company headquartered in Kempton, Gauteng is looking for a dynamic medical practitioner for the role of principal investigator/sub investigator.
The principal investigator promotes Good Clinical Practice in the conduct of clinical investigations by ensuring adherence to protocol requirements, protecting the rights and welfare of study subjects, assuring the integrity of data generated at the site and directing the conduct of the clinical investigation according to the regulations and guidance documents.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide investigator qualifications and agreements as required for study participation
- Maintain current, up-to-date curriculum vitae
- Maintain current licensure and continuing education
- Assume responsibility for the conduct of the clinical investigation
- Maintaining documentation of all aspects of the clinical investigation
- Ensure protocol compliance
- Ensure initial and ongoing review and oversight
- Manage the medical care of study participants (subjects)
- Protect the rights and welfare of subjects
- Ensure validity of data reported to sponsor
- Ensure documentation of study-related procedures, processes, and events
- Ensure proper use, storage, and return or disposal of all investigational agents
- Directly oversee all clinic site operations
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge
Job requirements:

- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, self-motivation, and high personal integrity and ethics.
- Ability to determine and prioritize workload.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously, including facilitation, negotiation, and collaboration.
- Medical Doctor (MBChB) - (specialist in the respective Therapeutic Area) with sound clinical and bench research experience.
- Experience in pain studies or OA studies will be an advantage
- Knowledge of MS Office, Internet, a Clinical Trial Management System, EDC (Electronic Data Capture).
- Fluent in English - spoken and written
- Effective project management skills
- In- depth knowledge of ICH-GCP with past experience conducting clinical studies
- 3 years of clinical experience and research experience is a plus
