As the Global HR Leader, you'll report to the Corporate Services Leader (with a dotted line reporting to the CEO) and assume responsibility for all HR-related duties.
Success in the role is dependent on:
- Sourcing, recruiting, onboarding and developing a winning team.
- Experience performing HR generalist duties.
- Experience with workforce planning, recruitment and organisational development.
- Working knowledge and experience with employment law and industrial relations standards.
- Ability to work independently and proactively collaborate with colleagues.
- Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Tech savvy including productivity, HR and recruitment software.
- Schedule flexibility to meet with international colleagues and job applicants outside regular business hours.
- Lead the development of our HR team.
- Champion Arbingers outward mindset including undertaking Arbingers facilitator training and participating with the leadership team to shape company culture.
- Initial hands-on management of all aspects of recruitment. We will recruit 50+ new people in the next 12 months.
- Provide timely and responsive service to team members seeking assistance on HR-related matters.
- Act as an internal consultant for the leadership and executive teams on all HR-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, state and local employment laws and monitor any changes in labour laws and regulations.
- Create, update and administer HR-related intranet published company policies and assist all staff and leadership team members in policy interpretation and application.
- Maintain all personnel files, HR systems, company directory and organizational charts and ensure they are up-to-date and complete.
- Manage all employee benefit policies and benefit-provider relationships.
- Oversee the annual salary review and performance appraisal process.
- Lead the performance management process and any employee termination meetings when necessary. And perform all required termination documentation and follow-up.
- Serve as the point of contact for team members who are requesting a leave of absence (ie. maternity leave, long-term illness, etc.), balancing the business needs with employment laws and compassion for our team members.
- Respond to all HR-related inquiries from third parties including State unemployment offices, state disability offices and insurance providers, verifications of employment, etc.
- Support and encourage an environment of work-life balance and promote overall employee wellness.
- Occasional international business travel for leadership team building and planning.
- More than 10 years experience in HR leadership and recruitment.
- Experience with nurturing a life-giving company culture.
- Proven ability to thrive in a startup environment and build a team.
