Vacancy for a processing engineering manager in Port Elizabeth.
Job requirements:
- Management & Injection Molding experience not negotiable
- Manages a team of manufacturing process engineers responsible for the design and implementation of automotive manufacturing, assembly and injection molding processes, equipment, or plants.
- Responsible for operational excellence via efficient plant design and new project implementation.
- Ensures continuous TPM improvement in process, cost, quality and production.
- Manages Process "Failure Mode Effect Analysis" (FMEA) and Control Plan meetings, and provide necessary technical input and problem-solving using 8D process for potential and actual process failures. Update process documentation, where applicable (incl. FMEA’s).
- Good knowledge base of ISO/TS 16949:2009 & ISO 14001:2004 Quality & Environmental Systems and Standards.
- Manages engineering projects and resolves engineering problems with internal departments and OEM’s.
- Requires Mechanical/Electrical National Diploma or Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience in Automotive Plastic Injection Molding environment.
- Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional processes areas and new projects.
- Develop Annual Capex budget.
- Resolving problems arising from operations, OEM’s and requiring coordination with other departments.
- Reports to Technical General Manager.
