My Client in Sandton is urgently looking for a Procurement Officer
Duties and responsibility: Placing of daily orders Negotiating for the best price Following up on orders already placed Escalate orders when required Update the system according to the information received from suppliers Sourcing new suppliers Request stock from other branches when required Get quotes from supplier and updating the system according to the new price if the item exists or add new item with details on the system. Update vendors regarding escalations Skills and qualifications: Knowledge and concept of procurement procedures and policies Strong writing skills are imperative. Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, presentation skills and ability to use their own initiative required. Knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office products especially Excel Solid phone and interpersonal skills Ability to operate under solid pressure and meet tight deadlines Ability to product source as and when required Excellent administrative skills Strong negotiations skills are imperative Must have a clear criminal record and be willing to go for a Polygraph.
Salary R12000.00 - R15 000.00 based on Experience.
