In This Role, You Will
- Spearhead BPM Implementation: Lead the strategic implementation of our Business Process Management (BPM) application within a specific department. This is your chance to optimize workflows, streamline processes, and unlock significant operational efficiencies.
- Own the Product Vision: Become the custodian of the product backlog, prioritizing features that deliver maximum value to both our internal users and the broader organization. Strategic roadmap development, user advocacy, and value-driven decision making is whats needed to excel in this role.
- Foster Collaboration: Bridge the gap between development teams and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and buy-in throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your strong interpersonal and collaboration skills will be instrumental in achieving successful project outcomes.
Lead a cross-functional development team (Developers, Testers, and Analysts)
Provide direct line management and guidance to a team of Analysts / Testers
Play a general leadership role within the broader IT department
Engage with business stakeholders to create the product vision and define what system enhancements are required to support this.
Challenge stakeholders and your team with creative alternatives to their assumed ideal solutions
Based on business priority, prioritise and plan the associated work, assessing scope and duration of work
Proactively manage project and solution risk
Review analysis specifications
Manage the team and assist in resolving conflicts or making trade-offs
Work with other Product Owners to ensure the coordinated delivery of related functionality
Work with a technical lead to establish a healthy balance between business, QA, and technical backlogs
Support the documentation and planning for test scenarios, test cases and testing activities necessary to assess the quality and completion of system implementations
Skills/Competencies And Experience
A proven track record of success in managing IT system implementations and ongoing support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise communication for stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
A collaborative and results-oriented approach, with a passion for exceeding expectations.
At least 2 years people management experience (with direct reports)
Creative solution design and ability to apply 1st principles thinking
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Planning, organizational and time management skills
Mature EQ and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders
Relevant Financial Services industry experience would be advantageous
